About Course
Summary
Digital Literacy 2.0 is where digital capability turns into digital working. Building on Digital Literacy 1.0, learners who can already operate a computer are taught to think critically about what they find online, to use AI tools responsibly and safely, to collaborate in the cloud, and to read and handle data without corrupting it. The course then moves into the reality of a modern office organisational systems, digital approvals, records management, reporting, and delivering a service through a digital channel and closes by confronting the behavioural change that decides whether any of it actually sticks.
Who Should Attend
Digital Literacy 2.0 is for learners ready to move from basic device confidence to working digitally in a real organisation. It suits:
- Graduates of Digital Literacy 1.0
- Public sector employees expected to work through e-office, MIS or portal systems
- Office staff, supervisors and mid-level officers who deal directly with citizens, customers or applicants through digital channels
- Individuals who want practical, current skills in AI, data and online information judgement
Learners who have not completed Digital Literacy 1.0 can still join by passing the entry diagnostic see Pre-Requisite below.
Course Description
The second half of the course addresses the reality of a modern workplace, and of a public sector office in particular. Learners are taken through organisational systems and the data entry discipline they demand, electronic file movement and digital approvals, records management and archiving obligations, extracting figures and building a report a senior official can act on, information classification and confidentiality, and delivering a service to people through a digital channel.
The course also confronts the reason most digitisation efforts stall. Moving from paper to digital is a behavioural change before it is a technical one, and the final content module deals with that directly what goes wrong, why, and what each individual can do to make the transition hold.
