COURSE DESCRIPTION
Inconsistencies between drawings, specifications and bills of quantities are usually discovered late, when correcting them is expensive. This course shows technical staff how to use AI to interrogate large document sets, surface discrepancies systematically, and prepare properly evidenced review comments and RFIs. The emphasis throughout is on verification discipline: AI locates the issue, the engineer confirms it.

AI for Smart Office, or equivalent working familiarity with an AI assistant
COURSE OUTLINE
- What AI reads reliably and what it does not — document types, scans, drawings and their limits
- Preparing a document set for review: splitting, indexing and referencing
- Cross-checking specifications against drawings and bills of quantities
- Building a discrepancy register from AI findings
- Drafting review comments, observations and requests for information
- Verification discipline — tracing every finding back to a clause or sheet number

- Review a large specification or tender document set in a structured, repeatable way
- Produce a discrepancy register with clause-level references
- Draft review comments and RFIs that stand up to contractor challenge
- Judge when an AI finding is reliable and when it must be checked manually
